Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn (born August 19, 1965), is an American actress from the United States. Her most famous part is as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime series The Closer. Sedgwick was awarded an Emmy Award in 2010 and she also won a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her portrayal Johnson. The series ended after the seventh season. Sedgwick is also remembered for her role as Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated for a Golden Globe award in 1995 for her performance in Something to Talk About. Sedgwick's roles in other films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Ones (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald who worked as Speech and Family Therapist as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick IV Venture capitalist. Her birthplace was in New York City. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was an Episcopalian who was with English origin. Sedgwick has identified herself as Jewish and has said that she participates in Passover seders.
