Jennifer Rene Psaki

Jennifer Rene Psaki, an American political advisor, served as the 34th White House Press Secretary from 2021 to 2022. A member of Democratic Party she has previously served in the Obama administration as White House deputy press secretary (2009), White House assistant communications director (2009–2011) and the spokesperson of the Department of State(2013-2015) and White House communication director (2015–2017). Psaki was a political contributor to CNN from 2017 to 2020. Psaki started her professional career with an Iowa Democratic senator, Tom Harkin, and later became governor of Iowa. Psaki became John Kerry's press secretary deputy in 2004. Psaki was also the communications director of Joseph Crowley, a U.S. Representative, and regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee from 2005 until 2006. Psaki was back in the political arena in 2012, serving as the press secretary for President Obama's 2012 campaign. [20] Psaki was appointed the spokesperson for the United States Department of State. It was believed that she would replace Jay Carney as White House Press Secretary.[21But, Josh Earnest was announced to replace Carney on May 30 in 2014. She was named communications director in the White House and continued to do so until the end of 2015.
